Qualifying Life Events
Outside of annual enrollment, you cannot change your benefits unless you experience a qualifying life event.
What is a qualifying life event?
If you experience a change in your situation — like getting married, having a baby, or losing health coverage — you can become eligible for a special enrollment period which allows you to enroll in benefits outside the annual enrollment period.

When a Team Member is the biological mother or father of a child.

If a Team Member wishes to change their beneficiary for their Group Term Life/AD&D, Supplemental AD&D, or Supplemental Life, not their actual coverage.

When an hourly Team Member is promoted to Field Management (Salaried or Hourly with Salaried benefits), they would use this life event to add Salaried benefits.
- Enrollment period: 45 days
- Who is eligible: Hourly Team Members promoted to Salaried, MIT, Sous Chefs, PDD, GEDM or Flex Manager
Team Members that move from HI to another location within the U.S.
- Enrollment period: 31 days
- Who is eligible: Team Members that move to or from HI

If you are a new Team Member.
