Enroll by your deadline

You will have 45 days from when you become eligible for benefits to enroll in coverage.
For example, if you can join the benefits plan starting on June 1st, you will have until July 15th to enroll.

Enroll at MyBBI.com > Digital Resources > BBI Connect > Myself > Life Events > I am a new employee. You can call 1-800-555-5808 (Option 3) to speak with a Resource Center representative if you have any questions.

When coverage begins

If you enroll for medical, dental, and/or vision benefits, coverage begins on the first day of the month following your hire date. If you are hired on the first day of a month, your coverage will begin that day.

Enroll in benefits as soon as possible after your benefits eligibility date to avoid multiple premium deductions from your paycheck after you enroll. Premium deductions and coverage will be retroactive to your benefits eligibility date (not the date you enroll in BBI Connect).

Dependent verification

ConSova, a company that specializes in verifying eligibility for employer health plans, will contact you if you enroll dependent(s) in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage. Make sure your home address, phone number, and email address are current in BBI Connect so you don’t miss this important communication. If ConSova is unable to confirm eligibility, dependent enrollment will be terminated.

This request from Consova is separate from any documentation you needed to provide to BBI to add your dependent through a life event. A request for documentation will be sent to you at your address of record by Consova. If you fail to provide the documentation by the deadline (generally 30 days), or the documentation you provide is insufficient, your dependent(s) will be dropped from coverage and you cannot re-enroll them until the next Open Enrollment period, at which time you will again be required to provide documentation to Consova to prove eligibility. An overview of the process can be found here.

If you enroll your dependents in coverage, have their Social Security numbers available to enter into BBI Connect.
